
Shirley Orbach
Ph.D. Candidate
Shirley is a Ph.D. student at the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; her research focuses on the relationship between children’s behavior and the acquisition of values.
Shirley graduated with distinction from the M.A. program in Early Childhood Mental Health Care at the Hebrew University and was named to the Dean’s List. Her master's thesis examined the relationship between the values of parents and preschool teachers and the prosocial behavior of young children. She also holds a B.A. in Communication Disorders from Hadassah Academic College, from which she graduated with distinction.
Shirley works as a speech-language pathologist with clinical expertise in developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In addition, she provides guidance and training to educational and clinical teams at the Municipal-Regional Support Center (MATYA) in Hadera.
Shirley is married to Elkana and is a mother of five. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves the sea, music, reading, and jewelry design.
