Lab Paper Featured in EARA’s Emerging Scholar Spotlight

We are delighted to share that our recently published paper, “From Social Anxiety to Identity Formation: The Bridging Roles of Self-Esteem and Speech Avoidance,” led by PhD student Omer Levy Kardash, has been selected for the October 2026 Emerging Scholar Spotlight of the European Association for Research on Adolescence (EARA). The Spotlight features the work of promising early-career researchers.
Published in Comprehensive Psychiatry, the paper examines the links between social anxiety and identity formation in adolescence, focusing on the roles of self-esteem and speech avoidance.
It is exciting to see our work recognized by the international community of adolescence researchers. Many thanks to our co-authors, Omer Levy Kardash, Adi Arden, and Hanit Ohana, for this collaboration.
Special thanks to Prof. Maya Benish-Weisman for the space she creates for us, one that fosters collaboration, growth, and support every step of the way.
