Last May, Dr. Hanit Ohana, Dr. Adi Arden, and Prof. Maya Benish-Weisman took part in a conference in Belgrade, Serbia. It was the 54th annual conference "Jean Piaget Society", and this year it focused on "Rethinking context as process when studying human development".
During the conference, we all took part in delivering a symposium, where we discussed the understanding of middle childhood behavior. Alongside Adi, Hanit, and Prof. Maya, Avital Ben Dror from the lab of Prof. Ella Danielle at Tel Aviv University, and Lisa Biechelel, who works under the supervision of Prof. Elena Makarova at the University of Basel, Switzerland, also participated in our symposium.
The symposium included three lectures that focused on: (1) longitudinal research on language development and prosocial behavior, (2) patterns of change and interrelationships over time between personal values and classroom behaviors, and (3) the role of motivation types in translating values into classroom behavior.
It was a wonderful opportunity to take part in the global research community, to learn from others and show what we do in our lab.
Thank you Hanit, Adi and Prof. Maya for representing our lab so well. We look forward to many more opportunities like this in the future!
